EDISON, NJ - The Spotswood High School varsity wrestling team traveled to Edison High School Saturday morning for a quad meet with Sayreville, South River and Edison High Schools. Spotswood came away with one win and two loses at the weekend quad. The Chargers defeated South River 60-24 to improve the team's Greater Middlesex Conference Blue Division record to 7-1. Spotswood dropped its two non-conference meets, losing to Edison 42-31 and Sayreville 63-12. The two loses moved the Chargers' overall season record to 10-6. Spotswood has the bulk of the upcoming week to prepare for the Greater Middlesex Conference Varsity Wrestling Championships which get underway at Piscataway High School on Friday. Matches begin at 5:30 p.m. and continue on Saturday at 10 a.m.
