The Grand Opening Party of Euphoria Hair & Beauty Bar on Sunday afternoon, March 10, was highlighted with the traditional Red Ribbon being cut by Mayor Vic DeLuca with an assist from Yonkez Boone, a partner in the salon. Also gathered behind the ribbon were Deputy Mayor Frank McGehee, Julie Doran, Executive Director of the Springfield Avenue Partnership, Diana Galer, President of the Maplewood Chamber of Commerce, Lamont Sims, Owner and Ty hall, partner and Manager, as well as three stylists. They were all surrounded by many clients and well-wishers. The salon currently is open Tuesday through Saturday. Sims told TAPinto SOMA that he graduated from massage school and is involved in other activities, however he’s had this vision of the hair &beauty bar for four years. When he found this space, he knew it was the right location because it’s not too distant from his home, and the Woolleys, his landlord who had delivered oil to his parents and how well his parents spoke of them. Both he and Ty Hall spoke of the many services provided they provde including Body Wellness, Hair Care, Body Waxing, Makeup, and soon to offer Education on Hair Care.

The overriding sentiment expressed by DeLuca, McGehee, Doran and Galer as their pleasure in seeing another vibrant business opening in Maplewood and in the SAP district and that all are pleased to see them pursue their entrepreneurial dreams. Galer said: “welcome to the Chamber and we encourage them to join our growing and engaged business community”.
