SPRINGFIELD, N.J. – Junior guard DJ Alicea continued his impressive season, scoring a game-high 26 points, including 20 in the second half, to propel Dayton to a 55-46 victory over Johnson Tuesday in Springfield.

Alicea has scored in double figures in 31 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Fellow junior guard Andrew Hornbuckle added nine points with a 3-pointer for Dayton (8-1), which has won eight straight games for the first time since opening up the 2012-13 season with 13 straight victories to open en route to a 22-6 record.
