On Saturday, April 17, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, the Springfield YMCA invites the community to participate in YMCA Healthy Kids Day, the nation's largest health day for children and families. YMCA Healthy Kids Day includes fun, engaging and creative activities for children and families and promotes year-long wellness and healthy living.
YMCA Healthy Kids Day at the Springfield Y will provide resources to help educate grown-ups about making healthy choices for their families every day. This year, activities will include: Y Olympics, Nerf Biathlon, Long Jump, Discus (Frisbee) Throw, Speed Skating, and Bounce House.
YMCA Healthy Kids Day will be celebrated across the country at more than 1,700 YMCAs. Last year, more than 700,000 attendees participated in YMCA Healthy Kids Day events nationwide. For more information about YMCA Healthy Kids Day, call the Springfield Y at 973-467-0838, or visit www.summitareaymca.org. The Springfield Y is located at 100 S. Springfield Avenue.
The Summit Area YMCA is one of the area's largest charities. No one is turned away from life-enhancing YMCA programs because of the inability to pay. If you need financial assistance, ask any Y staff member how to apply. If you can help us help others, visit our website www.summitareaymca.org
