St. Bart's Festival Begins Friday Night

Rides, music, raffles, and plenty of food will begin tonight at the 40th annual St. Bart's Festival at St. Bartholomew the Apostle Church on Westfield Ave. in Scotch Plains.

Sausage and peppers, pasta, pizza, and zeppoles are just some of the great foods available tonight at the 40th annual St. Bart's Festival.

SCOTCH PLAINS-FANWOOD, NJ -- The 40th annual St. Bartholomew/UNICO Italian Festival (Labor Day Weekend) kicks off this evening (4:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.) at St. Bartholomew's Church, 2032 Westfield Ave., in Scotch Plains.

Tonight's musical performance will be by local favorites, Wolf Creek, a Scotch Plains-based band that has been performing together since 2008. The group incorporates many musical genres into their performances, including as rock, pop, country, and folk songs made famous by performers such as the Eagles, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, and the Allman Brothers Band.

The feast, which raises money for St. Batholomew's Church and School and UNICO, the Italian American service organization, features nightly live music, rides, games, and great food including pizza, pasta, sausage and peppers, and, of course, zeppoles and cannoli.
