BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - From tip off, the Gov. Livingston boys basketball team set their sight on victory. The Highlanders fell short Tuesday night at home, losing to St. Mary's, 51-44.
The Highlanders started off strong, matching St. Mary's shot for shot, leading at the end of the first quarter, 16-13.
The game remained close with neither team pulling away. It was anyone's game with St. Mary's leading at half, 27-23.
St. Mary's Robert Lewis had game-high 18 points, four rebounds and three assists, while Tyreke Woodard had 10 points and three rebounds. Robert Imbalzano led Gov. Livingston with 14 points.
Gov. Livingston travels to face Rahway on Thursday at 4 p.m.
St. Mary's faces Westfield on Thursday at 7 p.m.
