St. Patrick Cross-Country Team Following Gilligan's Lead

The St. Patrick Cross-Country team kicked off their season by competing in the Wild Safari Invitational at Great Adventure on Sept. 28. Elite runners from eight different states and 175 teams competed in the meet. Sean Gilligan paced St. Pats winning a medal in the middle school boys race.

On September 29, St. Patrick took to the trails again, coming in third place out of 15 teams at the OLS Invitational in South Orange. Sean Gilligan won another medal with a second-place finish in his race. Coach Joe Eberle told Sean that he has "elevated his game this season" making tremendous strides as a runner. He dominated the hilly course setting the tone for his team."

Also medaling for St. Patrick were cross country team rookies Delaney McKee, Matt Andres and Brock Hartweger.
