RIDGEWOOD, NJ – The eighth-seeded Morristown High School girls lacrosse team fell to top-seeded Ridgewood, the No. 1-ranked team in the state, 15-3 in the quarterfinal round of the NJSIAA North 1, Group 4 tournament on Friday, May 17.

Morristown closes its season with a 5-15 record. Ridgewood led 10-0 at halftime.

Katie Siverson led the Colonials with two goals while Nicole Ferrera closed out a tremendous career with a goal. Ferrera, who will continue her athletic career at Ohio State, finished with 401 points in her four years with Morristown. Amanda Chupak had an assist and goalie Kate Baskin made eight saves.

Ridgewood improved to 19-1 on the season. Jackie Wolak led the state power with four goals and three assists. Annie McCarthy also put in four goals, Marley Scala scored three times and Sara Ellinghaus put in two goals.
Ridgewood has only lost once this season – to Summit by a goal on April 29.
