New Jersey businesses concerned about establishing and maintaining a drug-free working environment are invited to attend a free statewide seminar Tuesday, April 9 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Perona Farms in Andover.
The event is sponsored by the Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey (PDFNJ), a statewide not-for-profit dedicated to preventing the misuse of drugs and alcohol, in collaboration with The Center for Prevention and Counseling and the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce.
Nancy M. Delogu, Esq. of Littler, Washington, D.C., a nationally recognized authority on drug-free workplace law, will address the impact of marijuana legalization, as well as other legal and legislative developments relevant to maintaining a drug-free workplace in New Jersey.
“Establishing drug-free workplace policies is vital to protecting New Jersey businesses and employees,” said Angelo Valente, executive director of PDFNJ. “This annual seminar provides businesses an opportunity to learn more about the emerging trends and issues that must be addressed in maintaining a safe and drug-free work environment.”
Representatives from small, mid-sized, and large businesses, human resource managers, compliance and safety experts, government and union representatives, and not-for-profit executives are invited to attend. Those interested in registering for the free seminar can visit www.drugfreenj.org/ddw2019registration or call PDFNJ at (973) 467-2100. @drugfreenj.
