LIVINGSTON, NJ – Local home care and staffing company, Stellar Home Care is introducing a new series of support group meetings specifically tailored to family caregivers in the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transsexual) community.

Stellar Home Care owner Karen Groder explains that her company provides a comfortable environment to that community. “It’s intense when you’re dealing with a medical crisis and you want to just deal with that crisis – you don’t want to have to explain to the person that is going to be providing care what your family situation is,” Groder said.

Groder intends to open a forum where members of the LGBT community can openly discuss their own unique situations in being a caregiver for family members that have a chronic illness.
