Steward, Beardsley Lead Chatham Girls Volleyball in State Tournament Victory over Hackettstown

CHATHAM, NJ - Freshman libero Lisa Steward came up with 18 assists and senior outside hitter Caroline Beardsley produced eight kills and five digs in powering Chatham's 2-0 girls volleyball victory over Hackettstown in the opening round of the NJSIAA Public Group 2 tournament on Tuesday.

Chatham (14-11) will meet the winner of the Wednesday, Nov. 6, first-round matchup between Cranford and River Dell in the second round.

Zoe Ryan had four kills and one dig for Chatham in the 25-9, 25-17 two-set victory. Hackettstown dropped to 10-14.
