Stony Brook's Successful Silent Auction/Pot Luck Dinner Night

March 24, 2014 at 9:09 PM

NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ -- North Plainfield's very own Stony Brook Elementary School hosted yet another prosperous silent auction/ potluck dinner event tonight. Many families contributed by brining a dish and were helpful throughout the night. The auction generated over $1,000. Bidders were particularly excited for a basket that held several gift cards: $50 Staples, two $25 Barnes and Noble, and a gift card of $25 for AMC theatres. The sheet for that specific basket was just not long enough for folks to include their bids!

Among the many generous donors were Miss Kim's School of Dance, Party Lite, Raritan Valley Community College, Raceway and many more. A DJ played the most recent hits for the children of Stony Brook and families while staff members volunteered their time serving and attending the food brought in by the families and our auction-goers placed their bids. The winning bidders left with great prizes in their hands full, literally!  It was very fruitful and as always exciting to attend. Make sure you stay tuned; Stony Brook has many more auctions and other events underway!

Stony Brook would like to specially thank the families who donated items to make this event possible, the businesses and individuals who also donated generously for the baskets. Also, they thank those who brought in food for the potluck dinner and lastly all those who made this event successful by either volunteering their time during the event and those who prepped for weeks prior to this occasion.
