MONTVILLE, NJ - The heaviest of the rain and winds from Tropical Storm Isaias began to subside early afternoon on Tuesday. However, the fast-moving storm caused significant power outages to the area as well as downed trees and power lines. 

As of 2 pm, JCP&L reported that an estimated 6,377, or 69%, of its Montville Township customers were without power. JCP&L updated its Montville Township customers affected to 90%, or 8361, at 5:35 pm  

Residents are reminded to only use 9-1-1 for emergencies. If you need non-emergency police assistance, call 973-257-4300.
