Summer Vocal Music Camps offered in Newton

The Children's Chorus of Sussex County will host two summer music camps at Christ Church in Newton from August 11th—15th.  A fun and creative Summer Music Day camp will be offered for students entering grades 1-6 from 9:00 a.m.—-12:00 p.m.  Children enrolled in the program will participate in singing, moving, African drumming and a choir experience.

From 6:00—9:00 p.m., CCSC will offer a High School Vocal Workshop for singers entering grade 7 and up.  Singers will work on repertoire from classical and musical theatre, and learn how to prepare for college auditions as well as county, region and all state honor choirs.  The staff consists of professional singers and actors.

Both camps have a fee of $150.00; those who register by June 20th can do so for a reduced fee of $125.00.  All fees are non-refundable.  Christ Church is located at 62 Main Street in the heart of downtown Newton.  For more information and to register, please visit the Children’s Chorus of Sussex County website:  www.ccscsings.org.

Sparta Police: Sparta Man Faces DWI Charges on Report of Erratic Driving

SPARTA, NJ - A Sparta man faces charges of driving while intoxicated after his erratic driving prompted a call to police on November 25.  Sparta police responded to a report of an erratic driver on Stanhope Road, which included the license plate information, around 7:48 p.m. police report.
