Summit 13U Baseball Goes 4-0 in Pool Play; Reaches District Championship July 1

Members of the Summit 13U Baseball Team celebrate their success in pool play.  The team has reached the District Final of the Ripken Tournament, which will be played July 1 in Warren.

SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit 13U travel baseball team are on a roll in the Ripken District tournament, finishing pool play at 4-0 with victories over Mountainside (15-2), Chatham (10-3), Short Hills-Millburn (3-2, 10 innings), and Cranford (9-6).  

Based on its pool play showing, the team -- coached by Leroy Horn and his assistants -- has earned a bye to the district championship game, which will be played in Warren on July 1. First pitch is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
