Summit BOE Seeks Community Input as Part of Superintendent Search, Announces Community Forums

SUMMIT, NJ - Summit School Board President Gloria Ron-Fornes has announced that the Board of Education (BOE) will be hosting three community open forums designed specifically to elicit input relative to the BOE's search for a new superintendent.  Current Superintendent Dr. Nathan Parker has previously announced his decision to not seek another contract when his current term expires on June 30, 2015.

The 90-minute Community Open Forum dates and times are as follows:

March 24: Wilson School Board Meeting Room @ 10 a.m.
March 24: Lawton C. Johnson Summit Middle School Library @ 7 p.m.
Wednesday, March 26: Summit High School Library @ 7 p.m.

Deadline to complete the online survey is April 2.
The BOE has initiated its search for the new superintendent, and retained the services of Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates (HYA), a consulting firm specializing in assisting Boards with the consideration of candidates for superintendent.
