Summit Girls Lacrosse Seeded Second in Union County Tournament; 2014 Winners Begin Title Defense May 6

SUMMIT - The Summit High School Girls Varsity Lacrosse team will defend their Union County Championship as the second seed, receiving a double-bye and opening tournament play in the semifinals May 6 at AL Johnson High School against a to-be-determined opponent.
 
Oak Knoll was awarded the number-one seed, and also will begin the competition in the semifinals.
 
The seedings are as follows:
 
1. Oak Knoll
2. Summit
3. Westfield
4. Kent Place
5. Governor Livingston
6. New Providence
7. Cranford
8. Scotch Plains-Fanwood
9. Union Catholic
 
Note: Scotch Plains-Fanwood will play Union Catholic in a "play in" game.
 
Summit is currently 10-3 on the season, and will play in the 5:30 game on May 6. The final will be played May 9, also at AL Johnson High School and also at 5:30 p.m.
