LINDEN, NJ - Producing a season-low offensive output, the 11th-seeded Summit High School Boys Varsity Basketball Team was bounced from the Union County Tournament at Linden, falling to the sixth-seeded Tigers 45-30.
Senior captain Malcolm Sidebottom was the only Hilltopper to make it into double-digits in scoring with 10 points, and junior Eric Baier added nine. No other Summit player had more than four.
Dremar Hopkinson had 13 and Nashawn Holmes added 12 to pace the Tigers.
Summit actually led the contest 19-18 at the break, but then went into the deep freeze offensively, generating just 11 points in the entire second half.
The Hilltoppers, now 15-6 on the season, return home to play Wayne Hills February 14 at 7 p.m. before taking on Plainfield February 16 -- also at the Main Gym, The matchup versus the Cardinals tips at 1 p.m.
