LIVINGSTON, NJ - Summit Medical Group rolled out the red carpet—actually a large “welcome mat” on Tuesday, to officially welcome the community to the brand-new 50,000 square foot facility located at 315 E. Northfield Road in Livingston. In lieu of a ribbon cutting ceremony, Summit Medical Group Chairman and CEO Jeff Le Benger, MD, FACS and staff, untied a red ribbon to unfurl a large mat that was placed outside the main door to the building at the facility’s “Grand Opening” ceremony.

Guests were then invited inside for greetings by Le Benger and Livingston’s Deputy Mayor Al Anthony, a breakfast provided by Livingston Bagel, give-away items, and tours of the facility.

“We are excited about opening up the Livingston site and bringing our integrated healthcare model, as well as an urgent care center and imaging center to the community,” said Le Benger. “One thing that we were lacking in Essex County was that our main building was located in Union County, in Berkeley Heights. Now, we are spreading out to bring our model to the communities at large.”

“We would like to thank the town, the mayor and the administrators for allowing us to get this up and running as quickly as we could,” he added as he addressed the guests. “I would also like to thank my team, the C-Suite, here who managed to get the site up and running as quickly as they could, and yes, we will have an urgent care center here—it’s just not open yet.”

Next, Anthony said, “We are equally proud to welcome such a fantastic facility to Livingston--
it is a beautiful building and Summit Medical’s reputation exceeds itself. Summit Medical gives Livingston residents more healthcare options and we look forward to a long-standing relationship between Summit Medical and the town.”

SMG Chief Medical Officer Robert W. Brenner, MD, MMM, said, “I’m very excited that we now have a large integrated facility in Livingston. We're bringing a level of care that I believe is very high-quality. And by having all providers in one location, we can integrate the care and provide better outcomes for our patients.
