Super Bowl Party Robberies in Millburn

MILLBURN, NJ – Three cars were broken into and burglarized on Lakeview Avenue during the Super Bowl on Sunday, according to Millburn Police.  The three victims had all parked their cars in between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. to attend a nearby Super Bowl party.

Two of the three vehicles were locked and the thieves broke side windows to gain entry.  Items reported missing include two purses, credit cards, cash and a set of vehicle keys.  The vehicles involved were a 2009 Dodge minivan, a 2002 Nissan Maxima and a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. 

Police report that it appears that the thieves had attempted to steal the tires and rims from one of the vehicles as well.  The Millburn Police Department’s Detective Bureau is currently investigating the incident.
