Suspects Apprehended in Colgate Park Armed Robbery

WEST ORANGE, NJ - The West Orange Police Department confirmed that at approximately 5:00 pm, a man was approached in Colgate Park by three suspects and held up at gunpoint.

A friend of the victim contacted police, who arrived on the scene to find a small crowd that scattered as police attempted to speak to them.  As a result of the investigation, three suspects were taken into custody - two juveniles and one adult male.  A handgun was discovered at the scene, but it is unknown at this time who the handgun belongs to.  The suspects were taken into custody, where the victim identified the suspects as the ones that held him up and gave a statement at police headquarters.

The names of the suspects have not yet been released and the investigation is ongoing. The police desk was unable to provide information as to what was taken during the robbery at this time.
