Swartz for Township Committee

May 25, 2014 at 12:20 AM

Dear Editor,

I am writing to offer my endorsement of Township resident Karen Swartz who is seeking election to Chatham Township Committee in the June 3rd Primary.

I have known Karen since our boys, soon to be Chatham High graduates, attended Southern Boulevard School, and she has been nothing short of a great example in everything she does. Karen is a cheerful and tireless volunteer in our community whether in Youth Sports, CCD, or our local Kiwanis Club. She is the first to raise her hand when a project needs support. She is kind, decent, open-minded and fair.

Karen is a good neighbor and a good mom. She has worked full-time since we’ve known each other, and those of us who do this, myself included, know what a challenge that can be. Yet she always made time to participate in whatever school activities and extra-curricular activities came along while her kids were younger. I even hear she sleeps, but I don’t know when.

Karen will be a level-headed member of our Township Committee if she is elected. I know she will be honest, available and open to reason because she loves Chatham Township and wants what is best for all of us.

I urge all Republicans to vote for Karen Swartz on June 3rd
