Tae Kwon Do Athletes Advance in Rank at Gedman's Black Belt Academy of the Westfield Area Y
Over 70 students of Gedman’s Black Belt Academy at the Westfield Area Y advanced to their next belt rank at the December 14, 2013 belt testing at the Robert and Virginia Bauer Family Branch. Students ages 5 to 50 tested for orange through 3rd degree black belts.
Gedman’s Black Belt Academy of the Westfield Area Y offers weekday evening and Saturday morning classes at the Bauer Branch. The program is recognized by the American Tae Kwon Do Association and emphasizes self-confidence, leadership skills and physical fitness. Each class is taught by a team of certified ATA instructors under the leadership of 4th degree black belt, Chief Instructor Pamela Gedman.
The Y is offering one FREE trial introductory class for children and adults this January. Options for the free trial class for children are: Monday, January 6 at 6:00 pm or Saturday, January 11at 9:30 am. Options for the free trial class for adults are: Monday, January 6 at 7:30 pm, Wednesday, January 8 at 8:00 pm or Saturday, January 11 at 8:30 am. All trial classes are being offered at the Bauer Branch.
