HOBOKEN, NJ - The annual Hobooken 5K and Scary Scurry in support of the Hoboken Shelter is set to kick off on Monday. As previously announced this year’s race is going virtual with runners asked to embark on their runs anytime between October 26 and November 2
Participants are encouraged to “get creative” in their participation this year, including by having friends, colleagues, and family members contribute based on every home workout, socially distanced walk or run, live-streamed class, or TV binge session they complete. “Have a backyard? Run in circles for the Shelter and have friends pledge $2 for every lap completed,” the site continued, adding that for $2 the Hoboken Shelter can provide a hot meal to someone in need.
Earlier this week Karin Romans, Race Director, joined TAPinto Hoboken Publisher Steve Lenox virtually to talk about the special fundraising event.
Prizes will be awarded to both individual and team participants.
