SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - On Monday, Sept. 16, 2019, golfers will gather at the East Orange Golf Course to play in the 3rd Annual South Orange Golf Invitational, a fundraiser to benefit JESPY House. A South Orange-based nonprofit, JESPY serves 250 adults with Intellectual and Development Disabilities. Proceeds from the Golf Invitational will benefit JESPY’s Aging in Place and Young Adult Client Services.

 The East Orange Golf Course is located at 440 Parsonage Hill Road in Short Hills. The Shotgun Start is at 1:00pm with an awards dinner at 6:00pm at Par 440 Restaurant at the Club. The event’s Hole-in-One Sponsor, Ray Catena, is providing a 2019 A-Class Mercedes Benz to the winner.

The event also features a Silent Auction with one-of-a-kind jewelry, exclusive event tickets, beauty and dining gift cards, and products created by JESPY clients. Supporters and community members from any location can join in the fun and the fundraising now by starting to bid online on the JESPY web site.

Established in 1978, JESPY assists clients in achieving their full potential and leading independent lives.  Supports that are provided to 250 clients, ranging in age from 18 to 71, address skills needed in their personal and work lives. Services include employment training and support, day program activities, athletics, recreation, health & wellness, life skills, and more.   

 Past beneficiaries of the Invitational are the South Orange Rescue Squad and the South Orange/Maplewood-based nonprofit, Youth Net.
