PATERSON, NJ - An 18-year-old Paterson man faces decades in prison following his arrest in connection with an October 24 shooting that left a 22-year-old man with a non-fatal gunshot wound.

According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora, an investigation by the Paterson Police Department, in conjunction with the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, identified Terrance Byrd as the suspect in the incident that took place in  the area of Main Street and Hemlock Street.

Byrd is charged with Attempted Murder, Unlawful Possession of a Handgun, and  Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, as well as with several drugs related charges. If found guilty of the most serious crime Byrd could spend 20 years in prison.
