LIVINGSTON, NJ - The Social Action Committee of Temple Emanu-El of West Essex held their annual Thanksgiving Turkey Collection on Nov. 23 and 24. This yearly event is designed to help families in need celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with a turkey dinner.

Temple members as well as the surrounding community were invited to bring frozen turkeys to the Livingston temple’s parking lot. At the conclusion of the two day event the Temple Emanu-El Social Action volunteers brought the donated turkeys to the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse located at St. Philomena’s Church in Livingston where they would be distributed to families on time for the Thanksgiving Holiday.

This annual program has supplied hundreds of turkeys over the past few years to families in need.
