Instead of dining out at your favorite restaurant, join your friends at Temple Emanu-El of Westfield for “Temple Emanu-El Cooks!” on Saturday evening, December 7 from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. at 756 East Broad Street, Westfield.
Come hungry, dress casually, and spend an evening of food, fun, and fellowship. Instead of a song and dance routine, you'll witness a cut and chop routine expertly executed by the Temple's very own celebrity chefs – members of the clergy and senior staff including Rabbi Douglas Sagal, Cantor Martha Novick, Rabbi Sarah Smiley and her husband Rabbi Josh Leighton, Cantor Michelle Rubel, Abra Lee, Religious School Director, Jim Cimafonte, Early Childhood Education Director, and Carolyn Shane, Executive Director.
The highlight of the evening will be watching the “Celebrity” chefs prepare appetizers and desserts from food selected from very special mystery baskets! Judges for the cooking competition will be randomly selected from the attendees. Unparalleled pot-stirrer Mike Kenny will serve as Master of Ceremonies. Executive Chef and Temple Member, Ali Ament will assist and advise the celebrity chefs during the cooking competition.
