SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Women’s Connection at Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel welcomes women to join them for an evening of good friends and good food on Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. in the Mansion at Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel located at 432 Scotland Road in South Orange.
Linda Slucker, president of the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW), will lead a discussion on "Social Change, Challenges and Opportunities and Power of Women." All women welcome to attend. The event is free for Women’s Connection members and $18 for nonmembers.
A passionate advocate on behalf of child welfare, women’s rights and reproductive freedom, Slucker is president of NCJW, a grassroots organization of volunteers and advocates who turn progressive ideals into action. NCJW strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women, children and families by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms. Slucker lives with her husband in West Orange, N.J.
