Temple Sinai, a Reform synagogue in Summit, NJ, is excited to announce the start of its Early Childhood Education Program (ECEP). The ECEP will include expanded programming for families with young children, the centerpiece of which will be its school – opening September 2013.
The Temple Sinai Early Childhood Education Program is a research-based program for 2-, 3- and 4-year-olds that incorporates the best practices from a variety of different educational approaches that inspire creativity, imagination, and the love of learning! The curriculum incorporates both child-centered and teacher-guided instruction to teach developmentally appropriate skills based on themes that emerge during classroom discussions and interactions. Children with all learning styles can move through skills mastery at their own pace, using materials and activities that interest them. ECEP Director, Amy Damast, states, “We are so excited to be welcoming our youngest students and their parents into our program. We are looking forward to embarking on this exciting educational and spiritual journey together with them.”
