NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ -- Last night around 11:45 police received a call that there was a disturbance at East End School.  They arrived to find damage to the fence at the playground and tennis courts, and one of the benches in the locked tennis courts cracked in the middle.

The tennis courts, the only public courts in North Plainfield, have been secured for a number of years to prevent unauthorized use.  While owned by the schools, access if overseen by the borough's Parks and Recreation Commission.

The High School tennis teams play on the courts, as well as residents who have gained approval.
