If you know or have a child who child is challenged by communication, social skills, mood regulation, or learning disabilities, please join us for the first parent Open House of the year, Friday September 19, 2014 at 9:00am. This program is geared toward parents and is open to the public.
Highlights of The Calais School’s curriculum include differentiated and integrated academic programs aligned with the NJ Core Curriculum, transition education to provide career and college exploration opportunities, and Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs that provide career path training. Learning consultants supervise IEP implementation and consult with teachers, parents, and district child study teams.
Students also benefit from a number of therapeutic supports including cognitive/behavioral counseling, social skills training, animal adaptive therapy, psychiatric support, reading and speech-language specialists, occupational therapy, and school nurse services.
