The Family of Ellen Maguire Payne has Announced Her Passing

WEST CALDWELL, NJ - Loved and adored by her husband and best friend, Mitch Payne, Ellen Maguire Payne passed on Friday, Jan. 17, at the age of 45. Payne was well known to the community and her family and friends are deeply saddened by their loss.

Payne was born and raised in Rutherford. She went on to graduate from Montclair State University and had a successful career in sales and sales management at Johnson & Johnson.

While a college student, Ellen met Mitch and after marrying they moved to West Caldwell 16 years ago where they raised their three children, Jack, Elizabeth and Sean.

Greatest Accomplishments
According to her family, Payne had an incredible zest for life and they stated that her greatest accomplishments in life were being a cherished wife and mother to her three children. She was an active member of the school community; Ellen’s school roles included her being the HSA President, Vice President and chair for multiple school programs that brought joy and laughter to the school’s children.
