CHATHAM, NJ - Discover the sweet taste, smell and enjoyment of maple sugaring this winter.
Sponsored by the Morris County Park Commission, residents can learn the entire maple sugaring process from tree to mouth watering treat. During the months of January and February, guests will identify and tap maple trees, collect the flowing sap, and witness syrup making over a wood-fired evaporator. Best of all, taste-test homemade syrup.
The demonstrations and tastings will take place at the Great Swamp Outdoor Education Center at 1pm and 2:30pm on January 23, 30; February 6,13,20,27, March 6,13
