UNION, NJ - If you remember Singin’ in the Rain, Funny Face or Gigi, you'll be sure to enjoy a special presentation on the Golden Age of Musicals, by Rutgers Professors Sam and Cindy Caponegro.

The event, sponsored by The Friends of the Union Public Library and BCB Bank, is part of a series of lectures that discuss the history of movie musicals. This third and final lecture will take place on Saturday, March 30 at 2:00 p.m., and will focus on movie musicals created during what is considered the Golden Age of Musicals in the 1950’s such as The King and I, South Pacific, and Gentleman Prefer Blondes. Presenters Sam and Candy Caponegro recently taught courses on The History of the Movie Musical and Deconstructing the Broadway Musical at Rutgers University Continuing Education Program. 

The free event will be held at the Union Public Library.
