After a three-year hiatus, 'The Kootz' band will return to the Millburn Summer Concert-stage, this Sunday-evening, July 25th at 7:00 pm! The band performs the classic-rock iconic-songs of the 60's and 70's... and has entertained all-around the tri-state area for the past-ten years. They are particularly-recognized for their 'rotating'-lineup, drawn from a pool of several talented New Jersey musician-singers who hail from Essex, Union, Bergen, Passaic, Monmouth and Sussex Counties.

For the Millburn show, township-residents are in for a real treat, as an expanded, five-piece Kootz-lineup has been tapped for their return to Taylor Park. Band veteran and leader Glenn Taylor of Caldwell will 'lead the charge' performing on guitar, vocals and keyboards... 'Wandering-minstrel' and bassist Peter Scance of Fair Lawn will 'wirelessly' wend-his-way-through the crowd... usually with a 'gaggle' of Millburn-kids chasing him! The show also marks the Millburn 'Kootz-debut' of the ultra-talented Dave Hirschberg of Oradell on drums and lead vocals, as well as Ron Weinstein, bringing a 'touch of the Jersey-shore' from Asbury Park, on guitar, harmonica and lead vocals. Cliffside Park's Jerry DeLisio also teams-up with The Kootz, rounding-out the lineup and bringing his 'sweet & soulful'-saxophone to the show, as well as flute and vocals in his Millburn-maiden-voyage!

The Kootz regularly log 250 shows-annually, including over t hree-dozen town and municipal concerts, each summer! They were also recently featured on two separate editions of the News-12 New Jersey "Spotlight" program, hosted by Della Crews. They also provided backing tracks for Tommy James (of 'Shondells' fame) on his latest CD and released a new live-disc of their own in 2009, entitled "Kootleg". This second-effort accompanies their 2005 studio-debut-release, 'Tales From The Endless Bus Tour of New Jersey'.
