MORRISTOWN, NJ - Dia de Los Muertos or Day of the Dead, is a celebration of life and death, said organizers.
"While the holiday originated in Mexico, it is celebrated all over Latin America with festivities that unfold over tow days in an explosion of color and life-affirming joy to demonstrate love and respect for deceased family members. This fall we are excited to bring this tradition to Morristown", they said.
The Morristown community is invited to bring your offerings to the Gateway Totems at the Early Street Community Garden between October 31 - November 2. Offerings will be accepted between 6pm - 9pm.
The event is sponsored by Grow it Green Morristown, Core Creative Placemaking LLC and Grey Area
