The P.R.I.N.C.E.S.S. Foundation Kicks Off Major Fundraising Campaign

ROSELLE, NJ - Most residents in Roselle either know about the Princess Foundation or have been touched by them in one way or another. This organization of young women contribute a lot to our community on a regular basis. Our Senior community have enjoyed the activities that they present at the Roselle Annual MLK Day of Service events and these young ladies are the ones there serving the hot chocolate at the borough Christmas tree lighting. When ever there is a call to help in the community, you can count on them to be there.

Their mission is to empower and support young women in urban communities to develop skills, effective communication and dedication, which will prepare them to be of service to their community.

The organization was founded on April 19, 2011 and are now a 501(c)(3)non-profit organization that provides mentoring and empowerment programs for high school females in Roselle.

They provide an outlet for young women to freely express themselves amongst their peers in a positive and supportive environment. Prepared, ready, informed, noble, confident, educated, selfless and successful are the valuable ingredients placed together to create P.R.I.N.C.E.S.S. Each word represents a quality that holds true to the organization’s mission and its effort to prepare young women today for tomorrow.

They have started a kick off campaign to raise funds for their organization and to help contribute back to the community. They are asking the community to help by going to the Princess Foundation CampaignThey ask that if you cannot donate to please spread the word to others who may be able to help.

ROSELLE/ROSELLE PARK, NJ – The National Weather Service has placed Northeast New Jersey under a high wind warning and flood watch from tomorrow, Monday, Jan. 23, to Tuesday, Jan. 24.

Roselle Releases Garbage and Recycling Schedule for 2017

ROSELLE, NJ - The officials from the Roselle Department of Public Works (DPW), released the Garbage and Recycling schedule for 2017. 

The schedule shows no bulk pick up for the entire month of January. Bulk trash for the East Side will be the first Wednesday of the month and West Side will be the third Wednesday of the month.
