RANDOLPH, NJ-The Goddard School in Randolph will be celebrating all of their wonderful families and faculty during their annual Family Appreciation Day on Saturday, May 18 from 9:30-11:30 AM.
In what has become an annual tradition, the preschool will ceremoniously open their one-acre outdoor classroom with the first Spring planting in its’ vegetable garden with Farmer Bob. The theme for last year’s garden was Salsa. This year the school has picked a Rainbow theme and plans to plant rainbow colored vegetables including tomatoes, eggplant and a variety of their favorite peppers. Some of the other features of the garden include an elaborate flower garden with butterfly and rose bushes, a wood-pecker pole and sunflower circle. The garden is also the home to an apple and pear orchard and berry hill which produces blackberries, blueberries and raspberries. The preschool plans to add a natural obstacle course this year that includes wood balance beams, dinosaur footprints and a log tunnel.
The event will also include breakfast, teacher led S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) activities, a bounce house, face-painter, an American Ninja obstacle course, music and much more! The school is excited for their families to enjoy breakfast and activities with their children's teachers while enjoying some of the local enrichment programs that visit during the year including Kiddie Soccer and Elite TOMA Martial Arts.
