The Wellness Community of Central New Jersey is hard at work planning their 7th Annual Spirit of Hope Gala.
Each year, The Wellness Community of Central New Jersey (TWC-CNJ) holds a Spirit of Hope Celebration. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness of the programs and services that The Wellness Community offers; to publicly acknowledge an outstanding member of the community who has helped ensure that individuals affected by cancer are able to receive psychosocial programs that compliment their medical treatment; and to bring together members of the oncology community, as well as members of the general community, to support the efforts of The Wellness Community.
The theme of the Seventh Annual Spirit of Hope Celebration is "Under the Tuscan Sun". In addition to an array of Tuscan treats, our guests will have the chance to bid on items in our Live Auction as well as our Wine & Dine Silent Auction. Plus, guests will have a chance to win fabulous prizes in our Gems for Hope "Mystery Box" raffle.
Each year, TWC-CNJ gives thanks to individuals, doctors, corporations, and/or cancer related organizations who have supported The Wellness Community. This year, TWC-CNJ honors the Schaible Families by presenting them with our 2010 Nancy & Marty Dowd Spirit of Hope Award. Past recipients of this prestigious award include: The Central New Jersey Cancer Center Partners (2009), Marc D. Geller, PsyD (2008), The Paul R. Nardoni Foundation (2007), Dr. Kathleen Toomey (2006), Todd Abraham Stires (2005), and Christoper "Kip" Bateman (2004).
Sponsorships from businesses in the community help raise dollars to cover the costs of programs and services. All dollars raised are used here in Central New Jersey.
This year's event is being held at: The Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 6 PM Tickets to attend cost $150 per person
