Theft, Criminal Mischief and DWIs in Westfield

December 26, 2013 10:25 p.m.

Gregory Thompson, 43, of Roselle was arrested on an outstanding traffic warrant ($250) out of Linden Municipal Court and an outstanding warrant ($250) out of Westfield Municipal Court, totaling $500 bail, pursuant to a pick up at Woodbridge Police Department. Thompson was transported to Headquarters, processed and released on posted bail.

Ebony Gunter, 34, of Plainfield was arrested for D.W.I. as a result of .14% BAC (Blood Alcohol Content) and her motor vehicle impounded as per John’s Law. She was later released to the care of a responsible adult and assigned a court date.

December 28, 2013 12:22 p.m.

Bryan Black, 31, of Plainfield and Sharon Webb-Lawal, 39, of Plainfield were both arrested as the result of a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue for outstanding warrants. Webb-Lawal posted $103.00 on a Westfield traffic warrant and Black was transferred over to Plainfield Police Department for a $905.00 criminal warrant.

December 28, 2013 1:05 p.m.

Alice Campbell, 53, of Cranford was arrested at Police Headquarters after turning herself in on a $139.00 Fanwood traffic warrant. Full bail was posted and a court date is to be determined.

December 29, 2013 12:13 a.m.

Luis A. Jerez, 21, of Union was arrested for D.W.I. subsequent to a motor vehicle stop in the area of W. South Avenue and Summit Avenue. Mr. Jerez was transported to Westfield Police Department, processed and released to a sober adult.

Eric Williges, 35, of New Providence was arrested for D.W.I. subsequent to a motor vehicle stop executed at a D.W.I. checkpoint in the area of E. South Avenue and Windsor Avenue. Mr. Williges was transported to the Westfield Police Department, processed and released to a sober adult.

Marybeth Manfredi, 29, of Cranford was arrested for D.W.I. subsequent to a motor vehicle stop executed at a D.W.I. checkpoint in the area of E. South Avenue and Windsor Avenue. Ms. Manfredi was transported to Westfield Police Department, processed and released to a sober adult.

December 29, 2013 1:24 a.m.

T.J., 43, of Roslyn, NY was arrested for D.W.I. subsequent to a motor vehicle stop executed at a D.W.I. checkpoint in the area of E. South Avenue and Windsor Avenue. T.J. was transported to the Westfield Police Department, processed and released to a sober adult. Additionally, T.J. was charged with 3 counts of operating a motor vehicle under the influence with 3 minors as passengers.

Ronald H. Posyton Sr., 53, of Westfield was arrested for two outstanding traffic warrants issued by the Westfield Municipal Court. Posyton Sr. was transported to the Westfield Police Department, processed and released after posting $162.00.

December 30, 2013 12:08 a.m.

An employee of a business in the area of E. Broad Street and Prospect Street reports being the victim of criminal mischief. Victim reports that when he returned to his vehicle after work, he observed that all four tires of his vehicle were flat, with each tire bearing a two-inch puncture mark possibly caused by a sharp object.

December 30, 2013 4:29 p.m.

Alfred Voelker, 19, of Scotch Plains was arrested at Westfield Police Headquarters on the strength of Westfield Municipal Court Warrant #E13-11358 in the amount of $728.00. Mr. Voelker was processed and allowed to pay a partial bail amount. Mr. Voelker was subsequently released and given a bail receipt.

December 30, 2013 11:42 p.m.

Melvin Gonzalez Jr., 22, of Perth Amboy was arrested subsequent to a motor vehicle stop in the area of Central Avenue and Myrtle Avenue for two outstanding traffic warrants issued by the Westfield Municipal Court. Gonzalez Jr. was transported to the Westfield Police Department, processed and released after posting $144.00 cash bail.

December 31, 2013 12:19 a.m.

A theft occurred in the 600 block of Clark Street. The victim reports actor(s) unknown stole approximately $1,050.00 of valuables, an HP laptop computer, a Wi-Fi and a laptop case.

Enrique Repollet, 26, of Carteret was arrested on an ACS warrant out of Raritan. Repollet posted $250.00 bail and was released.

January 1, 2014 2:17 p.m.

Patricia Nadan, 40, of Westfield was arrested for shoplifting at a business establishment in the 600 block of W. North Avenue. Nadan was transported to Headquarters, processed and released on a summons.

January 1, 2014 7:26 p.m.

Nuirka M. Easterling, 29, of Linden was arrested on an outstanding traffic warrant ($500.00) out of Roselle Park Municipal Court and another outstanding traffic warrant ($115.00) out of Roselle Park Municipal Court, pursuant to a motor vehicle stop at E. South Avenue/Windsor Avenue. Easterling was transported to Headquarters, processed land released on posted bail.
