MILLBURN, NJ - Brooklyn artist Theodore Sefcik's exhibit Reason Given is currently on display at the One River School of Art + Design.
Originally from Millburn and a graduate of Millburn High School, Sefcik is an artist as well as a graphic designer.
Sefcik is known for his enigmatic animations, which combine the aesthetics of primitive computer graphics with early color video art. Presented on atypical, re-purposed screens, his videos range from scenes of organic body-horror to inscrutable assembly lines and humanoid dancers.
Sefcik’s videos and glitched AI-assisted digital photographs have been exhibited in solo and group shows in New York, Miami and Malmo, Sweden. Sefcik also performs original compositions, songs and spoken word pieces as RAXTSFK.
Reason Given is at One River School of Art + Design through November. Learn more about the exhibit here.
