Thief Steals Vehicle from South Orange Church Parking Lot

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ – Police are investigating the theft of a vehicle from the parking lot of a church.

A Maryland resident reported that someone stole his 2001 Jeep from the parking lot of Our Lady of Sorrows on Prospect Street sometime between 4 p.m. on March 29 and 9:45 a.m. on March 30.

  • Someone threw a rock through the front door of a doctor’s office on the corner of South Orange Avenue and Warren Court sometime between March 21 and March 24. The suspect did not gain entry to the building.
  • A North Wyoming Avenue resident told police that someone entered her 2005 Ford and stole a GPS unit and cash sometime between 9 a.m. on March 29 and 9:30 a.m. on March 30. The vehicle was parked in the victim’s driveway at the time of the theft, and there were no signs of forced entry.
