WESTFIELD, NJ — Downtown Westfield will once again close its streets to traffic and welcome people from all around the state during its annual Spring Fling street fair on Sunday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., presented by the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce. Thousands attend the fair each year to enjoy vendors, a juried arts-and-crafts show and the Kidz Zone with rides, games and activities.

“Once again, we have a completely sold-out event with craft and food vendors and music all day long on our stage that will be located on Elm Street,” said Gene Jannotti, executive director of the GWACC. “Don’t forget to come by and enter the pie eating contest sponsor by Bovella’s. Stop by and say hi to our returning sponsors Overlook Medical Center and Northfield Bank, who support Spring Fling Westfield year after year.”

The pie-eating contest will take place at 1:30 p.m. on the main stage, Jannotti said.

“It is always a great family event with the Kidz Zone that will be located near the PNC bank. Great live music acts on the main stage, featuring local artists. Don’t miss Hoi Polloi’s energetic performance at 4 p.m., a fun-filled act who always has the crowd on their feet,” Jannotti said.“One of the new items this year is that Ray Catena Jaguar and Range Rover will be bringing a couple of their cars to display at Spring Fling. We are very excited to have Ray Catena as a sponsor of the event.”

Looking for parking? All of the municipal parking lots are available to Spring Fling attendees, in addition to street parking that can be found within a block of the event, Jannotti said.
