PATERSON, NJ - Investigations are ongoing into two overnight incidents that left three Paterson men with non-fatal gunshot wounds on Sunday.

According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald, members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Lawrence and Market Street at approximately 12:47 a.m. on a report of shots fired.

While a possible crime scene was located there were no victims present.

A short time later law enforcement officials were advised that two men, 26 and 23 years old, had arrived at Saint Joseph’s Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.

Just hours later at approximately 3:30 a.m., a second report said, a third Paterson man, 24, also arrived at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson for treatment from a shooting incident that an initial investigation shows took place in the area of Market Street and Lakeview Avenue.
