SCRANTON, PA — Three local residents from Springfield have found themselves among the more than 1,800 students named to The University of Scranton's Dean's List for the 2020 fall semester.

According to the announcement from the university, the Dean's List recognizes students for academic excellence. A student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours during the semester to receive the honor.

The students are:

  • Daniel Diaz, a freshman international language business-Spanish concentration major in the University's College of Arts and Sciences.
  • Catriona M. Corbett, a sophomore journalism — electronic media major in the University's College of Arts and Sciences.
  • Victoria R. Gainey, a senior accounting major in the University's Kania School of Management.

The University of Scranton is a Jesuit university located in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
