Three Wounded in 4th Ward Drive-By Shooting Tuesday Night


PATERSON, NJ - Three city residents, two females and one male, were wounded in an apparent drive-by shooting in the city's 4th Ward on Tuesday evening.

According to Lt. Patrick Murray, the victims were congregating with a group of people at the intersection of Rosa Parks Blvd. and Putnam Street at around 8:30 p.m. when a vehicle--possibly a white four-door sedan--which was travelling north on Rosa Parks Blvd. pulled up, and shots were fired from an occupant seated in the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle then fled down Putnam Street toward River Street.

A 32-year-old woman had gunshots wounds to both of her legs, a 24-year-old woman was grazed in the buttocks with a bullet and a 25-year-old male was wounded in the foot. All three victims were treated and released.
