PARKLAND, FL- New cases climbing back over 9,000 in recent data. The percent of positive results ranged from 6.31% to 9.99% over the past 2 weeks and was 7.58% on Wednesday, November 18, 2020. This percentage calculated is for people that test positive for the first time and does not include people that had previously tested positive.

Here are the current numbers according to the Florida Department of Health as of Thursday, November 19, 2020:

Florida: 914,333 total confirmed cases of COVID-19, an increase of 9,085 in 1 day.

Broward County: 98,377 total confirmed cases, an increase of 902 in 1 day.

Parkland788 total confirmed cases, an increase of 10 in 1 day.

Coral Springs: 4,583 total confirmed cases, an increase of 37 in 1 day.

Deaths in Florida related to COVID-19: 17,810 an increase of 79 in 1 day.

Broward County: 6,522 (6.6%) total hospitalizations with 1,611 (1.7%) deaths due to COVID-19. Deaths increased by 3 in 1 day. The median age is 39.

Broward County Percent Positive: 6.9% per the latest data on November 18, 2020.

Broward County Hospital Bed Availability: Hospitals have 1030 (18.9%) beds available and 78 (16.8%) adult ICU beds available per the latest data on November 19, 2020.

  • Heron Heights Elementary: 2 cases
  • Marjory Stoneman Douglas: 1 case 
  • Park Trails Elementary: 4 cases
  • Riverglades Elementary: 2 cases
  • Somerset Parkland Academy: 3 cases
  • Westglades Middle School: 3 cases
