PARKLAND, FL- Florida reported just under 7,000 new daily Coronavirus cases and 138 deaths on Thursday.
Florida has vaccinated a total of 2,838,326 and 1,539,770 have completed the series. Broward County has vaccinated 240,514 and 141,900 have completed the series.
The percent of positive results ranged from 5.23% to 6.87% over the past 2 weeks and was 5.23% on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. The percentage calculated is for people that test positive for the first time and does not include people that had previously tested positive.
Here are the current COVID-19 numbers according to the Florida Department of Health as of Thursday, February 25, 2021:
Florida: 1,892,301 total confirmed cases, an increase of 6,640 since yesterday.
Broward County: 192,738 total confirmed cases, an increase of 770 since yesterday.
Parkland: 2,131 total confirmed cases, an increase of 11 since yesterday.
Coral Springs: 10,859 total confirmed cases, an increase of 61 since yesterday.
Deaths in Florida related to COVID-19: 30,478 an increase of 138 since yesterday.
Broward County: 8,822 (4.6%) total hospitalizations with 2,365 (1.2%) deaths due to COVID-19. Deaths increased by 4 since yesterday. The median age is 39.
Broward County Percent Positive: 5.8% per the latest data on February 24, 2021.
Broward County Hospital Bed Availability: Hospitals have 913 (17.0%) beds available and 59 (12.0%) adult ICU beds available per the latest data on February 25, 2021.

- Heron Heights Elementary: 8 cases (+2: 1 student, 1 teacher)
- Marjory Stoneman Douglas: 41 cases (+5: 3 students, 2 teachers)
- Mary Help of Christians School: 8 cases (+1: 1 teacher)
- Park Trails Elementary: 22 cases (+1: 1 staff)
- Riverglades Elementary: 24 cases (+2: 2 students)
- Somerset Parkland Academy: 15 cases (+1:1 student)
- Westglades Middle School: 14 cases (+2: 2 students)
