PATERSON, NJ-  Law enforcement officials are investigating a Thursday shooting that sent a 20-year-old Paterson man to the hospital.

According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald, the incident took place at approximately 8:02 p.m. in the area of Washington Avenue and Spring Street.

While responding to the area on a report of shots fired the police were advised that a the victim had arrived at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.
